FORMER Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has praised Christian Pulisic following his impressive performance against Liverpool in the Super Cup.
The American international – who had a fine goal ruled out for offside – caused Joe Gomez problems all night.
Writing in the Times, Cascarino claimed that the 20-year-old reminds him of former Blues winger Arjen Robben.
He said: “I don’t remember a young Eden Hazard being as quick and direct and there’s no reason Pulisic can’t develop into a player of Hazard’s standing.
“Pulisic reminds me of Arjen Robben, you cannot stop him one-on-one because you don’t know which way he’s going to go and his pace is devastating. He will be a massive asset for Frank Lampard this season.”

GIANFRANCO ZOLA has finally lifted the lid on what exactly happened when Kepa Arrizabalaga refused to come off against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup finale earlier this year.
The Chelsea legend and former assistant has revealed that the Spanish goalkeeper faked an injury to wind the clock down in extra-time, before defying Maurizio Sarri's orders.
Speaking to beIN Sports, Zola said: “In the beginning he misunderstood. He was pretending he was injured because he wanted to waste time.
“There was nothing really wrong but we then made some considerations. We knew we had Willy Caballero on the bench, who knew all of the Manchester City players and so it was an opportunity for us.”
Before adding: “We were going to make the change. It wasn’t pre-arranged, but we saw the day before he was injured.
“So we thought it was the injury coming back and we saw an opportunity because Caballero knows the Manchester City players so he can also be a good thing; simple as that.
“It was obviously not an easy situation to deal with. We could not believe it, we were speechless, we kept telling him to come off but he didn’t come.”

CHELSEA have launched a major clampdown on touts at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have taken legal action against 11 touts operating around the stadium.
Chelsea have obtained High Court injunctions preventing them congregating near the ground on match days, with one tout jailed for six months for persistently breaching the legal orders.
Stamford Bridge chiefs are determined to rid the club of the problem by hitting the touts in the pocket.
The legal cases brought costs against the 11 convicted touts, adding up to a hefty £170,000.

According to L'Equipe, the Ligue 1 side have made a loan offer for the 24-year-old.
They claim that the French midfielder is open to return to Monaco, but is waiting to see if a club in the Champions League comes in for him.
Bakayoko did not even make the 12-man bench for Chelsea in the Uefa Super Cup match last night.

JOE COLE left fans in stitches when he accidentally thought he was holding a microphone during BT Sport's Super Cup coverage.
The 37-year-old was being quizzed by Jake Humphrey in the studio ahead of Liverpool's penalty shootout win over Chelsea.
Humphrey asked the ex-England international about how his former side could learn from their 4-0 defeat to Manchester United.
Without hesitation, Cole cupped his right hand as if he was holding a microphone and started speaking into it. But the former Chelsea star quickly realised his error as Humphrey glared at him in disbelief.
One fan said of the incident: “”Watching Joe Cole mistakenly think he has a mic in his hand makes this the most entertaining Super Cup final I can remember.”
One Twitter user replied: “Amazing. That can be watched on loop for a long time and still stay funny.”
