2019 MLB draft: Order, time, TV info for first round and Day 1

Major League Baseball's 2019 first-year player draft begins Monday with the first 78 selections.

The draft takes place over three days at the MLB Network studios in Secaucus, N.J. and can run up to 40 rounds.

The Baltimore Orioles have the first overall selection after finishing with baseball's worst record (47-115) last season. Day 1 of the draft includes the first round followed by a round of compensation picks, Competitive Balance Round A, the second round, Competitive Balance Round B and another round of compensation picks.

One of the most significant aspects this year is that on Monday, free agents Craig Kimbrel and Dallas Keuchel no longer have a pick attached to them – the biggest reason that the two All-Stars are yet to be signed.
