    TOMORI TOMORROW?

Fikayo Tomori's loan move to AC Milan is set to be confirmed this week.

The Chelsea centre-back is out of favour at Stamford Bridge and will be allowed to leave on a temporary basis.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano added there is an option to buy for around £27million and the English defender will fly to Italy this week.

    STAT ATTACK

A bit more of a detailed look back at last night's defeat to Leicester and how the stats break down.

On paper, it looks as though Chelsea were in the game with high possession and actually more shots.

But the reality was the Blues were outplayed and it was a comfortable victory for Brendan Rodgers' side – the first time the Northern Irishman has beaten Chelsea in 16 attempts.

And as Lampard stated, Leicester did indeed run further and harder than his players.

    FRUSTRATED FRANK

More reaction from a frustrated Frank Lampard now.

Assessing the defeat at Leicester, the Blues boss said last night: "We were beaten by a better team.

"They were sharper than us, they ran more than us, they looked like a team in form and we looked like a team out of form.

"We were asleep in moments. I felt like there were quite a lot of moments in the first half where our sharpness wasn't there.

"The basics and bare minimums are to run, sprint and cover ground, and too many of our players didn't do it."

    NEED EXPERIENCE FOR JOB

Chelsea want an experienced manager to take over from Frank Lampard, according to The Athletic's Simon Johnson.

Last week, Bild's Head of Football Christian Falk revealed that the Blues had contacted Thomas Tuchel and Max Allegri – two men who would certainly fit the bill.

However, there has also been a surge in recent bets on Ukraine manager and former Blues striker Andriy Shevchenko.

    HAAL OF FAME

Chelsea will make a summer bid for Erling Haaland, according to reports.

The Athletic claim that the Blues are determined to bring in a high profile striker and the Norwegian is their first choice.

The Blues had not been among the favourites to sign Haaland, with the likes of Man Utd and Real Madrid circling.

However their transfer team believe many potential suitors will sit back and wait for his £66m release clause to be activated in 2022.

That would potentially give Chelsea space to negotiate a deal with Dortmund that suits all parties.

    'WORRIED'

Frank Lampard admitted he is 'worried' after he saw his side's poor run continue at the King Power.

The Blues boss said: "It's not where we want to be.

"I am worried. From the form we were in to get so quickly in to the form we're in now, even with the Fulham win [on Saturday] and some other wins in there, we should be better than losing five in eight.

"It's a young team. They won't be feeling nice. I'm not against the lads in the dressing room. They will have learned a lesson."

    GOOD MORNING BLUES FANS

Chelsea’s results have gone from bad to worse with a 2-0 defeat at Leicester.

Goals from Wilfried Ndidi and James Maddison condemned the Blues to yet another defeat.

Chelsea now have just 29 points from 19 games and now look in danger of blowing their slim top four hopes.

Meanwhile, Chelsea could struggle to sign Erling Haaland due to their poor relationship with his agent Mino Raiola.

Journalist David Ornstein revealed: “Roman Abramovich and Marina Granovskaia had a bad experience with Raiola when they tried to re-sign Romeu Lukaku before he joined Man United.

“That was a bruising experience. Raiola has shown throughout his career, unashamedly, he operates on the basis of, in part, who will pay the biggest agent commissions.

“Dortmund seemingly did that to get Haaland – but will Chelsea be wiling to go down that road?”

Finally, Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly remain in the hunt for David Alaba.

Reports claim the Bayern Munich defender has agreed a four-year deal with Real Madrid.

But German outlet Kicker says Alaba is yet to decide his future and has been presented with more offers from across Europe.

Chelsea, United and PSG are said to have sent contracts to Alaba.

Meanwhile, Manchester City and Barcelona are also preparing their own offers for the versatile defender.

And long-term suitors Liverpool remains interested as well.

"Following another disappointing defeat and performance, he is the new odds-on favourite at 8/11 to be the next to go."

    GAME OVER

It's been a bad night for Chelsea as the game ends 2-0 to Leicester.

Timo Werner did pull one back for the Blues late on but it was questionably chalked off for offside.

Questions are sure to be asked of Frank Lampard now as Chelsea face dropping into the bottom half of the table should other results play out.

Odegaard has told Zinedine Zidane he wants to leave the Bernabeu as soon as possible.

And that could spark an epic transfer battle between England's top clubs for one of world football’s top-rated playmakers.

    TELLY TROUBLE

Prem clubs have been hit with an £86m legal threat as they meet for the first time in five weeks.

The 20 clubs voted to dump Chinese broadcaster PPTV in October after the company reneged on the first £160m payment due under their three-year deal.

A legal case and claim of £165m was lodged at London’s Commercial Court as the League found a short-term replacement for this season.

But now PPTV had countersued, claiming £86m in damages and alleging they had “suffered huge loss, including lost advertising revenue, membership revenue and so on” as a result of the three-month Covid shutdown last term.

PPTV also insist they paid £128m in advance – a claim denied by the Prem – and accused the League of inconsistency in its business approach.

A PPTV spokesman said: “The Premier League seems to have adopted a double standard and treated a domestic UK broadcaster differently from a Chinese broadcaster.

“We have made our best efforts to reach a compromise, but we have been left with no choice but to take legal action.”

Prem chiefs were unmoved by the legal threat and are likely to confirm the confidence of their legal stance at the “shareholder” meeting.

    NO MESSING ABOUT

Mason Mount admits he was blown away after being praised by Barcelona legend Lionel Messi, who said the Chelsea ace can become one of the ‘best’ around.

Mount told the UMM YouTube channel in the latest episode of Assumptions: "I didn't believe it at first… I didn't think it was real.

"I don't really have words for it… it's crazy to believe.

"When you read something like that it gives you more motivation to want to get better and better. Hopefully I can do that in the future."

    FROM SUNSPORT’S MARTIN LIPTON

Prem refs will be told to report any managers they fear are “gaming” the new concussion rules.

The 20 clubs will tomorrow confirm the adoption of the Fifa-led trial allowing for two permanent concussion substitutes.

But fears over cynical bosses getting uninjured stars to “play hurt” and allowing them to send on extra “free” substitutes have been discussed by club bosses.

And in a bid to ease those fears, referees and other match officials will be ordered to contact the Prem if they have any belief that a manager has taken advantage of the new Law to influence a game unfairly.

Mason Mount has revealed Jorginho is one of Chelsea's biggest pranksters – with his go-to stunt burning his team-mates with hot studs.

Mount told the UMM YouTube channel in the latest episode of Assumptions: "[Chilwell] is up there. He recently joined.

"Jorginho definitely, he is always playing pranks.

"We warm our boots up in like a microwave, like a boot microwave.

"And because he wears studs, obviously they are metal, so they get so hot.

"So he will always just walk around with them in his hand and just tap it on your skin.

"He will get you in the back of the leg or something."

    'OUR WAY'

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has reiterated the importance of his team focusing on themselves this evening, when they take on Leicester City.

He told the Blues' official website: "We look at Leicester, they are a dangerous team and we know their weapons, but how we approach the game is the most important,’ he said.

"We want to play our way and we want to win this game our way. The manager has told us to be positive.

"We know we’ve had a bad period and we could’ve done better in many games, but everything that happened is behind us now.

"This year you can see that every team is grabbing points from everybody. Every game is different and difficult. It’s going to be a very open game, but we have to be focused on ourselves."

    RODGER THAT

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has described Chelsea star Mason Mount as a 'fabulous' player.

He said: "I’ve seen his talent for a number of years now — he’s a fabulous player with great mobility and great technique.

“It tells you everything about his mentality that Frank [Lampard] plays him pretty much every game.

“He’s only doing that because he knows [Mount] is a top player who has the hunger and desire to succeed.”
