  • ZACH TO THE FUTURE

Brit Zach Parker will take on Aussie Rohan Murdock at the Manchester Arena on March 7 for the right to challenge WBO super-middleweight king Billy Joe Saunders.

The much-awaited bout is on the undercard of Scott Quigg's super-featherweight fight with Jono Carroll.

  • ARTUR'S FAN FARE

Artur Beterbiev will defend his WBC and IBF titles, as well as boxing's only 100% KO record, against IBF mandatory contender Meng Fanlong on March 28.

Russian-born Beterbiev, who lives in Montreal, faces the Chinaman in Quebec City for the fourth defence of his crown.

  • WLAD BACKS AJ TO UNIFY TITLES

Wladimir Klitschko has tipped Anthony Joshua to unify the world heavyweight crowns this year by beating the winner of Tyson Fury's rematch with Deontay Wilder.

AJ has been compared to Klitscho at his best for his cool, composed revenge win over Andy Ruiz Jr last December to regain his three titles.

Joshua insists he wants a winner-takes–all showdown with either fellow Brit Fury or destructive-hitting Yank Wilder.

And Klitschko, who lost to AJ in 2017, told The National: “By the end of the year we might have a unified champion with all the belts.

“Styles make fights exciting or not. Joshua is a superior athlete, great fighter, Olympic champion.

“Most importantly, he’s a great guy, who carries the torch of this image of a heavyweight champion perfectly.

“I’m proud to call him as a friend, even though we were [rivals].“And I think and I wish that eventually, Joshua is going to unify all of the belts. That’s the eventual plan.

“But until then, there’s going to be some bumps on the road. So let’s just lean back and enjoy it.”

  • BACK FROM THE BRINK

Robbie Pattinson will return to the ring this weekend – one year after he was ONE MILLIMETRE from death when a drug-fuelled thug stabbed him in the face.

Doctors said if the six-inch blade had penetrated a fraction more it would have severed a major artery and killed him.

But incredibly the 21-year-old he has recovered so well he is preparing for the biggest title bout of his career.

Just two days after waking from a coma, the talented boxer from Wigton, Cumbria, was back in the gym looking ahead to his next fight.

And now he faces an amateur clash for a regional belt.

He said: “It's a big deal, especially after what happened last year, you've got to bounce back or you don't.”

  • WHYTE MUST FIGHT POVETKIN

Dillian Whyte has been forced into a tear-up with Alexander Povetkin after Andy Ruiz Jr snubbed a seven-figure deal to fight an old friend.

With Deontay Wilder and the WBC still refusing to give the Brit banger the mandatory world title shot he earned way back in November 2017, the Brixton ace has had to make his own fights.

The Body Snatcher asked to face the former unified champ, who KO’d Anthony Joshua last year before being outpointed in the December rematch, but Ruiz Jr has instead opted to face fading veteran and promotional stablemate Luis Ortiz.

The Cuban southpaw and Mexican unit have more than the PBC banner and future fight in common.Last year Ortiz was offered around £6m to jump in and face AJ in June, after Jarrell Miller was busted for a scandalous concoction of steroids.

The 40-year-old rejected the golden opportunity to instead face another stablemate in Wilder and, despite a strong start, he was demolished with a round-seven right hand.

After beating Mariusz Wach on the Joshua vs Ruiz 2 undercard in Saudi Arabia, Londoner Whyte is eager to get back to winning ways on home soil.
