WOLVES are plotting a huge transfer coup as they make a move for AC Milan striker Patrick Cutrone, according to reports.
Boss Nuno Espirito Santo has yet to add a fresh face to his squad this summer having only agreed permanent deals for Raul Jimenez and Leander Dendoncker following their loan spells.
But they are ready to take advantage of Chelsea's transfer ban by pushing ahead for the Italian international.
Cutrone had been in the sights of the Blues but they have been forced to pull the plug on any deal with the club unable to make any signings.
Reports in Gianluca Di Marzio suggest that Wolves are readying a £16million move plus bonuses to prize him to the Premier League with Santo keen to add competition in attack.

WILLIAN is reportedly set to pen a two-year contract extension at Chelsea – and their fans are not happy.
The Brazilian is entering his final year at Stamford Bridge but is yet to return to the squad for pre-season.
The Times report Willian is close to agreeing a two-year extension as he prepares to wok under under new boss and former team-mate Frank Lampard.
Chelsea fans slammed the decision on Twitter, claiming Willian does not “deserve” a new deal.
One said: “He absolutely doesn’t deserve a 2 year deal. If Chelsea board is clever enough, they should make it a 1 year +1 year option to extend.”
Another said: “Kill me.”
However, other supporters backed the news, with the possibility of the forward leaving on a free transfer next summer eliminated.
One said: “This makes sense in a transfer ban season and still allows us to sell him after this season is over.”
Another said: “Good move I reckon, we need him to be around this season and we can sell him next season and still get money for him because he has a year left on his contract.
“Otherwise he’d walk for free next summer, we may as well protect the asset we have.”
