Russian President Vladimir Putin 'uses at least two body doubles', according to artificial intelligence analysis of photographs from recent engagements.
The Daily Star has been following the bizarre claims that Putin died two weeks ago – something constantly denied by the Kremlin – and conspiracies remain rife of a lookalike replacing him in the seat of power. Now, it has been claimed by Japanese TV network TBS that the tyrannical ruler probably has a pair of lookalikes acting like puppets for him.
Journalists there used the latest AI technology to examine Putin's facial recognition and body movement. Experts from the Institute of Audio Communication Laboratory in Japan also analysed his voice during public appearances.

The tech found just a 53% match between the Putin who presided over the Red Square Victory Day parade on May 9 and the one who inspected the Crimean Bridge 11 months ago.
TBS said: “Experts on face recognition would refer to this as ‘not matching’ in most cases, which leads us to the assumption this could be a double.”
Another appearance on the front line in Mariupol in March yeilded just a 40% match, while the the Crimea and Mariupol Putins produced just an 18% likeness.
The report concluded: “Expert analysis is clearly displaying the high probability of at least two body doubles.”
