Sleeping bloke who went viral in boozy sofa surfing photo is ‘party monster’ DJ

A bloke sleeping on a sofa surrounded by booze during a house viewing has been unmasked as a 'party monster' DJ — and he's not happy.

Student Katie Elliott was being shown round the three-bed pad in search for a new place to live with her two friends, but was shocked to find one of the current residents still sleeping on a sofa surrounded by empty bottles and cans.

The oblivious tenant went viral on Katie's TikTok as he kipped amongst the fag packets and food wrappers.

And now, the DJ has told Mail Online that he's not happy about the video, or the fact that the viewing took place without him being forewarned by the estate agent.

"It is absolutely ridiculous and it should never have happened, I knew nothing about what was going on," he said.

But neighbours told the publication that he didn't do himself any favours as he and his friends liked to 'party around the clock' in the propert in Sandyford, Newcastle.

"It's an area where a lot of students live so we're used to a bit of noise but that house was party central," one neighbour said.

"They'd be partying around the clock sometimes and then would sit outside the back on green plastic garden seats to recover.

"The scene on the video is just about how you'd expect the inside to look. I wouldn't like to be responsible for cleaning it."

Even other students complained that the noise coming from the house 'was a bit much'.

And Katie said: "The guy didn't wake up throughout the time we were there looking around so I'm not sure anyone had even been in the room.

"The place was unbelievable, I've never seen anything like it – especially on a house viewing."

She claimed the letting agent urged her to 'try and look past the mess'.

Understandably, she and her pals opted against moving in.
