Snapchat users were in a frenzy after many attempted to login only to find that the app was down.
The popular social media app was down in the US, UK and some other areas.
Users took to Twitter to express their grief about the issue, which gave users a bizarre error message every time they tried to refresh the iOS or Android app.
Snapchat’s support account confirmed there was an error in the app and said it was ‘working on it.’

‘We’re aware that some Snapchatters are having trouble refreshing within in the app,’ Snapchat Support tweeted.
‘Hang tight – we’re working on a fix!’
According to Down Detector, users began reporting the issue just after 11 a.m. (ET) today.

Before noon, about 527 user reports had been made on Down Detector saying there was some sort of outage on the app.
Many users check in on Twitter to see if the problem was affecting others.
Twitter user @Colbz7 said: ‘So first YouTube went down last week, now it appears that is down for the majority of people… Where do we go to check when Twitter inevitably goes down next week?’
User @GirlLikeChar said: ‘@snapchatsupport Is Snapchat down? Keep getting “Could not refresh. Please try again.” message.’
