Huge cloud of pollen erupts from tree – and the footage will make your nose itch

If you have hay fever , you’re probably used to having a constantly itchy nose and streaming eyes throughout the summer months.

But if you think the pollen count in the UK is bad, this video will come as a huge shock.

The video, filmed in Issaquah, Washington, shows an enormous cloud of pollen erupting from a fallen tree.

The incredible footage was filmed and posted to Instagram by Matt’s Tree Service last week, with the caption ‘It’s officially pollen season!’

In the video, a large pine tree can be seen being cut down in front of  a house.

Seconds after being cut, a plume of yellow pollen explodes from the tree, cascading into the air as the tree falls to the ground.

While the video is pretty shocking, according to experts this amount of pollen isn’t unusual.

Speaking to Live Science following a similar video last year, Sheila McCormick, an expert in microbial biology at the University of California, Berkely, said: “This is not unusual.
