Google Earth uncovers mystery ‘disc’ emerging from melting Antarctica ice

A Google Earth user believes he has found a mysterious disc emerging from the melting snow in Antarctica.

YouTube user MrMBB333 posted footage on January 25 of the sighting, showing half of what appears to be half a circular object poking out the ice.

The object could obviously be explained away as a natural rock. But conspiracists have long claimed the snow in Antarctica is hiding ancient civilisations beneath.

In the clip, MrMBB333 explains: “I’ve got something here that looks like a disc in snow and ice.

“It doesn’t look like a normal rock, it has a shiny side to it.

“It could be just the snow and ice, I don’t know. But it looks like half of a disc in the snow and ice.

“It has a fairly round edge to it – it’s something different.

“I don’t know, it could be a rock I suppose but is just out there all by itself with nothing else in the area.

“Usually when the rocks emerge from the snow they come in clusters.”

The footage has been seen more than 220,000 times since it was uploaded.

“It looks like a satellite dish,” one viewer comically suggested.

Another wrote: “The more it melts, the more we'll see! Soon they won't be able to lie anymore.”

Sceptical users were less impressed though, suggesting the object was nothing more than an unusual natural rock formation.

The image comes after MrMBB333 also saw a "flying saucer" hiding in the water off an Icelandic island.

“Whatever that is is reflective and it has density,” he claimed in the clip from this week.

“It’s tilted at a slightly different angle and looks like a flying craft – there’s no other way to describe it.”

In an equally bizarre sighting, a conspiracy theorist claimed he found a two-mile-long ancient wall in Antarctica.

The so-called “monolith” was compared to some iconic ancient structures.
