Elon Musk HUMILIATED: Fans disappointed as SpaceX delays Space Internet launch AGAIN

The Space Internet’s launch was delayed due to “excessive high winds” on Wednesday night. But SpaceX’s Falcon 9 was called off again tonight as the company “updates satellite software”. Starlink will launch next week but a precise date is to be decided.

SpaceX wrote on Twitter confirming the delay: “Standing down to update satellite software and triple-check everything again.

“Always want to do everything we can on the ground to maximise mission success, next launch opportunity in about a week.”

Social media users were quick to voice their disappointment over the delay.

But they agreed it’s “better safe than sorry”.

One person said on Twitter: “But I drank so much coffee so I could stay up.”

While another added: “How did this suddenly become necessary when they would have launched yesterday had the upper-level winds been lower?”

A third person said: “Disappointing but the safety of the spacecraft should be number one priority. Looking forward to watching a successful launch next week.”

The Falcon 9 rocket was due to launch with 60 Starlink satellites at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

The SpaceX Starlink plan is an attempt to bring high-speed internet to anyone around the world.

The satellites will centre using a low earth orbit to link to ground terminals on Earth to provide internet connection.

These low orbit satellites are between 99 to 1,200 miles from Earth instead of the traditional 22,000 miles for geostationary satellites, Gizmodo reported.

The Starlink is hoped to have 12,000 satellites in total but this first launch is just a test run for the company.
