A Brit holidaymaker has been arrested for trying to tear open a plane door while on a Ryanair flight from Croatia to London.

Two men were seen grappling with the passenger, footage taken by others on the flight from Zadar to London revealed.

The 27-year-old tourist, who has not yet been named but is said to be a professional boxer, jumped up from his seat moments before the plane took off on June 30, BNN reports.

With bulging eyes, he reportedly began ranting wildly and threw his sunglasses off before pointing at another passenger.

The video showed him leaping into the aisle, before brushing past a female flight attendant and trying to force his way through the plane screaming: “Open the door, open the door!”

One passenger can be heard saying: "Get him out!"

Meanwhile, the person filming can be heard asking: "What the f*** is happening right now?"

Another video showed the bloke being dragged to the airport by Croatian cops as the plane prepared to take off.

One passenger can be heard saying: "Oh my God! He's getting dragged the f*** away!"

According to one passenger, many people on the Ryanair flight had been at Hideout Festival, which was held in Zrce, on the island of Pag, between 25 and 29 June.

Local media reported that the British tourist was questioned by the police before being examined by a judge on July 1.

Police said he resisted arrest as he was taken to hospital, and is currently in custody on suspicion of assaulting an official, adding that the investigation is ongoing.

Croatian media reported he physically attacked police officers and allegedly attempted to injure himself in their vehicle and at the hospital.

The unnamed man isn’t the only person who made a fool of himself on board a plane.

The Daily Star reportedthat Jet2 went after Eric Forrest because his drunken behaviour cost the airline a “five-figure” sum after he began peeing in the aisle and forced everyone to get off the plane to make sure it was sanitary.

Jet2 was forced to pay for replacement flights and hotels for everyone onboard after the Scot made a massive nuisance of himself on the flight from Portugal to Tenerife.
