A video of a bizarre fishing hack has gone viral after viewers were left shocked.
The clip, which has been viewed some 5.3million times within the first 12 hours, shows a hole in a plot of grass filled with water.
A boy takes a handful of Mentos and drops them in the muddy puddle.
Bizarrely, he then cracks an egg into the hole before filling it up with Coke.
He suddenly places his hands in the water seeing him seemingly tussling with something.
Seconds later, the boy pulls out a giant catfish using only bare hands.

After placing the fish down on the ground he begins to unscrew the lid of the Coke bottle in order to top the puddle up.
However, before he managed to, another fish spontaneously leaps out of the puddle and onto the grass where the boy was able to catch it.
Since being uploaded to Twitter thousands have shared their confusion over the clip.
One person said: "I don't know what I thought was going to happen but it wasn't that."
A second believed the egg was going to scramble.

"I’m so grossed out," a third person asked.
Another viewer provided some insight into the video.
They added: "I read that the Coke and Mentos chemical reaction reduces the oxygen in the water so the catfish come up to look for air.
"The egg is bait to also help bring the catfish up."
