Brian continued: “I’ve never seen anything just take away the head. The head itself was nowhere to be found.
“A predator would’ve gone for the soft tissue, the liver, heart, but none of that has even been touched.
“I’ve had situations where lambs have been killed by a fox – but these weren’t baby lambs. These lambs were ready to go to market – they were almost as big as an adult sheep. They weren’t small.”
While animal mutilation has often been associated with UFO sightings, Brian has his own – darker – theory.
He said: “I do know that there have been cases where sheep’s heads have been used in witchcraft.
“The farmer told me there was not much blood at the scene where they were found.
“He’s got about 2,000 acres in the area, but both these lambs have been found in the same area. There’s no woodland nearby and the land these headless bodies were found is only about 100 acres and is completely surrounded by roads on all sides.
“I’ve contacted the wildlife liaison officer at Devon and Cornwall Police, but it’s a mystery to me. Regardless of people say – I don’t think an animal did this.”
Daily Star Online has approached Devon and Cornwall Police for comment.
