Vince Vaughn charged with DUI following his June arrest

Vince Vaughn has been charged with DUI following his arrest on suspicion of drink driving back in June.

The Wedding Crashers actor was first pulled over at a DUI checkpoint outside of Los Angeles on June 10.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has now filed DUI and other misdemeanour charges against the actor (via Deadline).

These include driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, driving with .08 per cent blood alcohol content or higher, refusing to comply with a police officer and refusing to submit to an inspection.

Vaughn could face up to a year in county jail if he is found guilty on all the aforementioned charges, and this is the actor’s first DUI arrest.

He’s due to appear in court to be arraigned on the charges on Monday (September 10), and has not entered a plea.

Speaking at the time of his initial arrest, Sgt Tim Zins, a spokesman for the Manhattan Beach Police Department, said: “[Vaughn was not] fighting with officers, but more of delaying the investigation. There was no officer use of force or anything like that.”

The actor is perhaps best known for starring in a number of comedies, and most recently acted in True Detective season 2 and Hacksaw Ridge.

He recently wrapped filming on Stephen Merchant’s directorial debut Fighting with My Family, which is based on the true-life story of WWE wrestler Paige, and is due to start filming alongside Kristen Stewart and Jack O’Connell in Against All Enemies.
