20 She Owns A Donkey
It’s true and we think it’s the cutest thing ever. There are many celebrities out there, like Chris Pratt who are embracing the farm life and Ronda Rousey is one of them. She posted this photo to Instagram with the caption, “Missin home and my Milly girl already.” She is obviously close to her animals and being home also means being with her husband, Travis. She’s been a busy girl this year. Taking care of animals can be a cathartic experience for people.
19 She Hand-Fed A Shark
If you are a fan of Shark Week, then you probably saw Ronda Rousey become part of the epic programming. Not only is she a tough fighter, but she can play with sharks as well. She traveled to Fiji to feed sharks and it just makes her even more awesome in our eyes. “She could have very easily lost a hand or an arm,” former Navy diver Paul de Gelder told FOX News.
“That was a very, very real moment for me.
Especially because her 6’7” husband was right behind me and probably would have drowned me.”
18 She’s Hanging out With The Knicks
She got to hang out with New York Knicks player Enes Kanter and as you can see, they hit it off. He seemed to be even more of a fan of her than she was of him as he posted this photo to his Twitter while gushing, “Had an amazing time with these beautiful ladies (heart-eye emoji) Thanks.” Rousey posted the picture to her Instagram and stated how much she was grateful to wear his jersey which fits like a dress.
17 Her Husband Is Her Protector
Everyone thinks Ronda Rousey is the badass in the family and granted, she can definitely hold her own, but her husband, Travis Browne, isn’t about to let anything happen to her. He made that clear when she went diving with the sharks. “I think everyone thinks she’s this super badass, and she is, but what surprised me the most was seeing her and her husband together,” de Gelder said. “He literally threatened us. He said to us, ‘If my wife doesn’t come back on the boat, ain’t none of you all coming back on the boat.’”
16 She’s Travelling the World
She posted an Instagram shot of her on a private jet as she left Paris and this was a photo she posted during her time in Turin, Spain. WWE gives her a lot of opportunities to travel and since she doesn’t have to worry about months of training camps, she has more time to enjoy the sights. “It’s funny – it’s kind of like acting, in that [wrestling] was something I always wanted to do, but I never thought was in the cards for me,” Rousey told ESPN. “And now that I realize I really do have this opportunity, I feel like my six-year-old self would totally kick my ass if I didn’t take it.”
15 Her Husband is tagging along
We saw her husband with her during her Shark Week experience and it seems like he enjoys tagging along on her adventures. It’s not like he’s doing much these days. There were fans that thought he was retired from his MMA career because he had lost his past four fights and hadn’t gotten back in the ring yet. Rousey is bringing in a pay-check with all her ventures, so maybe he’s just enjoying his life hanging out with the goat.
14 She’s Taking Helicopter Rides
Is there anything this girl is scared of? Apparently not. Doesn’t she look like she is in a movie with this picture? She just decided to get her friends together and go on a helicopter tour. She posted a few pictures to Instagram, thanking Captain Ric for taking her and her friends on a ride. Her friends took a tour with her of the Orange County Coastline and they had an experience of a lifetime. “Thank you for the ride in your helicopter.”

13 She’s On the Talk Show Circuit
Ronda Rousey is still doing talk shows and that’s because she is an interesting and inspiring person. She has persevered against the odds and let’s be honest, we all love talking to a girl as tough as she is. Even her old boss has to admit she is doing well since she left UFC.
“I’m happy for her. This is something she has always wanted to do,”
UFC president Dana White told ESPN. “Ronda continues to achieve everything she has ever wanted.”
12 She’s On Amazing TV Shows
We are all pretty stocked to see the TV show Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime. Not only do we get to see John Krasinski kicking butt in a whole new way, but Ronda Rousey appeared on the show as well. She’s been posting all over social media about the experience. “Getting my spy on at the Jack Ryan Amazonm Tom Clancy’s #JackRyan experience #ComiCon. New series premiere August 31st on Amazon Prime video!” A lot of people thought that Hollywood would drop her after her losses in the UFC, but she still manages to find herself on the red carpet.
11 She’s got more style than we expected
It’s rare that we get to see Ronda Rousey in a feminine outfit. Don’t get us wrong, she is in dresses a lot, especially when it comes to red-carpet events and she always looks amazing. But her dress choices are usually edgier ones. We saw her in polka dots recently and it shocked us a little. Apparently, she borrowed the outfit from a friend because she didn’t pack enough outfits for her press events. “It looks like I’m running to get into a pic with me and myself! Thank you @jessicaleecolgan for letting me steal your dress because I forgot to pack enough outfits.”
10 She Is Still Making Movies
We love the fact that Ronda Rousey is still being called to the frontlines when it comes to the movie industry. It was something that fans worried about when she disappeared from the UFC. We all wondered, would her movie career disappear as well? But when you have friends like The Rock and Vin Diesel, that’s unlikely to happen. She was recently seen doing the press tour for Mile 22 and we can’t wait to see the movie. The movie will be released on August 17.
9 From shy girl to the red carpet
You wouldn’t think that a tough MMA fighter and WWE wrestler could clean up so good for the red carpet, but Ronda Rousey has always impressed us. You might be surprised to find out that she is a shy person.
“I was painfully shy for a long time. I mean, that’s something I really had to work my way out of.
And I really think it was because, after the 2008 Olympics, I spent a whole year bartending. It was the one thing that really forced me to be just not so scared to start conversations with strangers.”
8 She Loves Watching Space Documentaries
During a Google Fan interview, she was asked what she likes to do when she relaxes. She stated that watching nature documentaries or anything involving space really relaxes her. She seems to be very interested in dark matter. “My life is so active, and I’m fighting the whole day that I don’t have any aggressiveness or any energy outside of fighting.
I’m the most chill couch potato you could ever meet.”
We never would have thought and it’s always interesting to see what our favorite celebrities are watching when they get home.
7 She Loves Pancakes the Most
One of her favorite things to do is make and eat pancakes. The more we learn about this girl, the more we see that she is just a big softie at heart. “I love waking up to Sunday morning pancakes.
The whole process of making them, just out in the kitchen together making pancakes on a Sunday morning; that’s an experience every girl should have.”
The way she describes it, we want pancakes now too!
6 She is Still As Tough as She Ever Was
Anyone that has actually met Ronda Rousey comes away with a sense of respect for everything that she has been through. She definitely went through some losses in her career but she was an undefeated champ for a long time and that stands for something. She posted this photo on Instagram of her and her co-star from the TV show Jack Ryan. She posted the picture with Joel Embiid with the caption, “I’m still shorter on the 3rd step! Thanks for the pic.”
5 She Doesn’t Know How to Lose
She’s fierce, she’s strong, and she never gives up. Even when people thought she was down for the count, she came back with a brand new career that she loves. She went from a successful UFC career to an WWE one. She may be able to thank her mother for the fact that she never seems to give up.
“One thing my mother never taught me was how to lose,”
Rousey told Peter Berg, who directed her in the coming film Mile 22. “She’d say, ‘I want you to never entertain it as a possibility. Let it suck. It deserves to suck.'”
4 Her Husband Saved Her Life
When she was defeated by Holly Holm, it was a huge blow to her ego and she went into a deep seclusion. It was so bad, many people believed she would not recover from that loss. “There’s a lot of stuff I wouldn’t have been able to get through, and my secret is right there,” Rousey said, motioning toward her husband, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, inside Berg’s Wild Card West gym. She cried during the interview when she explained.
“I always wanted to be so tough. I found a way to make crying tough.
My mom didn’t teach me how to deal with that stuff [losing], [so] I did a whole lot of crying, isolating myself. He held me and let me cry, and it lasted two years. I couldn’t have done it alone.”
3 She Believes in New Experiences
Just like Dwayne Johnson, Ronda Rousey learned that sometimes your dreams aren’t what you are currently living, but perhaps something that is right around the corner.
“There’s a lot of things you have to remember. Every missed opportunity is a blessing in disguise.
My nanny always said, ‘God always knows what he’s doing even if you don’t.’ I had to learn from experience and believe it’s still true. From the worst things, the best things have come as a result. Time is a great teacher. It’s that belief that time passes, even [bad] time, it passes. People need to learn not to be too rough on yourself or get too down.”
2 She Loves the Simple Life
She lives in Riverside County and you might be surprised to hear that she loves living the simple life. She and her husband, Travis, have farm animals and she even likes to garden. She calls her life with Travis “blissful.” Not only does she have a donkey, but she has goats and chickens too. She makes a joke that gardening is “doomsday prepping” and “sustainable living.” “I guess that makes [it] settling down, preparing for the apocalypse. I love that,” she said. He stated that “goats are the best doomsday animals you can have. You can milk a goat, eat a goat, and they can keep you warm. [He thinks] it’s a good plan to have goats.”
1 She is doing amazing with WWE
Not that we are really surprised, it’s an arena that can showcase all her talents all at once. She seems to be carving out her own niche in the wrestling industry and considering all her experience; it was a natural fit for her.
“This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt,”
Rousey told ESPN. “When I first met with [professional wrestler] Triple H, I told him, ‘There are other things I can do with my time that’ll make way more money, but I won’t enjoy nearly as much.’”
