Little Mix are encouraging fans to embrace body positivity in their latest song and video.
The band have dropped a teaser for new song ‘Strip’ ahead of its release tomorrow (November 16), alongside their new album LM5.
The four-piece posted a naked picture of themselves with words including “ugly”, “slutty” and “fat” on Twitter along with lyrics from the song.
The lyrics include: “Jiggle all this weight, yeah you know I love all of this / Finally love me naked / Sexiest when I’m confident”.
Little Mix also shared a brief clip with a number of women to promote body positivity, explaining: “We’ve [loved] sharing these amazing women’s stories & we have a surprise[.]
“We invited them to be part of our #Strip music video, cos this song is about empowering people to be who they are.”
Fans have praised the band for their positive message, sharing their own stories with the hashtag #StripWithLittleMix.
Meanwhile, earlier this week Simon Cowell opened-up about why he cut ties with Little Mix, revealing that it was a row over a songwriting credit on recent song ‘Woman Like Me’.
However, he admitted that he was still on good terms with the band, adding: “I stand by the fact they are the hardest working bunch of girls I’ve ever worked with. They deserve everything they’ve got.”
