Lily Allen has revealed that she slept with female escorts while on tour with her Sheezus album, explaining that she was “looking for something”.
The singer took to Instagram to explain to her fans that she’s written about her experiences in her upcoming book My Thoughts Exactly and wanted to be the first to let fans know.
“Sooo, in my book ‘My Thoughts Exactly’ (out on 20th Sept) I detail some stuff from my dark days, around the Sheezus era,” she wrote. “I slept with female escorts when I was on tour, cause I was lost and lonely and looking for something.

The Mail are gonna run with the story tomorrow cause someone leaked it, and they’re bound to make sound worse than it was. Just wanted to give you Er, the ‘heads up’ ! #LINKINBIO

Allen’s fans praised her honesty, calling her “badass” and asking “where is the scandal?”.
Sheezus was released in May 2014 and featured tracks including ‘Hard out Here’ and ‘URL Badman’, with the follow-up album No Shamelanding in June this year.
Allen recently admitted that she ‘lost her mind’ after Sheezus was released, saying that she ended up having to rebuild her life after her marriage to Sam Cooper broke down.
“I lost my sense of self. I lost my identity. I was being a bad mum. I was being bad at my job,” she said.
“I’d wake up on a tour bus in the middle of Wisconsin and be so hungover. I cheated on my husband. All I wanted to do was be with my kids. I wasn’t even making any money.
“I lost my marriage, I lost my house, I lost my mind. I literally had to hit rock bottom and build myself back up.”
