Liam Payne admits he forgot his name after turning to prescription drugs in a bid to keep him on the straight and narrow during his time in One Direction.
The chart-topper, who has a baby with Cheryl admits he turned to the minibar after shows to cope with the natural comedown from performing to thousands of people.
Liam said: "Doing a show to however many thousands of people, then being stuck by yourself in a country where you can’t go out anywhere – what else are you going to do?
"The minibar is always there."

During a chat with The Guardian, the 26-year-old revealed he would take "an epilepsy drug as a mood stabiliser that he says affected his cognitive functioning under certain lights".
Medics advised Liam to take the drugs to counteract "erratic highs and lows" he was experiencing.
Liam added: "I just needed a little bit of help to keep me stable.

"But under certain lights on stage or during interviews, I wouldn’t be able to tell them my name."
After One Direction broke up, Liam turned to therapy.
"It was difficult at the start, because I didn’t really know anything about myself," he admitted.
"It was a bit of a numb feeling."

Earlier this week Liam hit headlines for the wrong reasons after being filmed squaring up to a bouncer during a night out in Texas.
The dad-of-one had been in the States with girlfriend Maya to celebrate Thanksgiving.
However, according to TMZ the couple were refused entry to a bar after owners discovered Maya was only 19-year-old.
The legal drinking age in the US is 21-years-old.
