Coronation Street has featured a whole host of characters whose actors have been recast throughout the decades.
While some stars are replaced when characters return to the show, others have been replaced due to actors quitting the show.
Fans were recently left gobsmacked when David Platt's stepson Max Turner appeared back on their television screens.
It's not the first time and it probably won't be the last time that bosses switch up the cast with fresh faces.
Daily Star has taken a look back at some of the Weatherfield residents who were replaced over the years from evil Tracy Barlow to sweet Summer Spellman.
Tracy McDonald, otherwise known as Barlow, is a main antagonist in Corrie who was born on-screen in an episode in January 1977.
She was previously played by Christabel Finch until late 1983, then Holly Chamarette took on the character from mid 1985 to 1988 and Dawn Acton followed in the 90s.
More recently, Kate Ford has played the divisive character from 2002 to 2007.
She reprised the role from 2010 until now.
Max Turner is the son of Callum Logan and Kylie Platt, with half-siblings Lily and Harry Platt.
Harry McDermott, played the role since he was four years old.
However, viewers were left gobsmacked when Paddy Bever took over the role earlier this year.
A Corrie spokesman said in a statement at the time: “We have all watched Harry grow up alongside Max Turner for the past 11 years and we want to thank him for everything he has brought to the character.
"It is always a difficult decision to recast a role and we look forward to following Harry's career as he continues with his acting studies and explores other opportunities.
“We wish him every success for the future."
Summer Spellman was adopted by Drew Spellman.
She was the biological daughter of a man known as Charlie and an unknown woman.
Once Drew received a terminal cancer diagnosis, Summer gained new legal guardians of Todd Grimshaw and Billy Mayhew.
Summer was originally played by Matilda Freeman from 2017 to 2020 but after she made a shock exit, Harriet Bibby took over the the role.
Aadi Alahan is the son of Dev and Sunita Alahan and twin brother of Asha.
The role of the youngster is currently played by Adam Hussain.
Last year, Zennon Ditchett who played Aadi since 2009, made the decision to leave the soap to focus on his A levels at the end of the year.
Aadi is now be played by Adam Hussain, from Manchester. He appears besides Tanisha Gorey who plays his twin.
Nick Tilsley was born off-screen in an episode on December 1980. He made his first appearance on January 1981 when he was played by Warren Jackson from 1981 to 1996.
His father is Brian Tilsley and he has a son, Sam Blakeman.
Nick is currently played by Ben Price.
In 2009, following the return of Nick to the cast, a Corrie spokesman said: "It will be great to see the return of Nick, he has so many links with the street – both with his family and also with the various women he has had relationships with."
Todd Grimshaw debuted at the beginning of 2001, played by Bruno Langley until 2017.
The role of the scheming character is currently played by Gareth Pierce
Last year, Gareth said in a statement: "I'm thrilled to be joining such an iconic show, and to have been entrusted with taking Todd forward into some really exciting storylines.
"It's an honour to be part of the dedicated Coronation Street team in such unprecedented times."
Coronation Street airs on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday
