The two older siblings of Chuckle Brother Barry Elliott, have paid tribute to their brother following his death at the age of 73.
Brian and Jimmy Elliott – who performed as their own double act, the Patton Brothers – frequently made appearances alongside younger brothers Barry and Paul on their TV show Chucklevision.
Speaking to BBC News, Jimmy said that he last saw Barry, who had been suffering from cancer for the past year, on Friday.
“My wife and I went round to see him and he was really poorly,” Jimmy said. “It was really sad to see him because he was such a lively, fun-loving boy.
“He was a wonderful lad and a great comedian. It’s been a wonderful life together.”
The brothers were born into a showbiz family, with father Gene Patton performing as a comedian, whistler and singer.
When Barry and Paul found fame on CBBC, they brought Jimmy and Brian along for the ride – in their famous camper van.
“When they got their break on Chucklevision, they said, ‘Oh you must come and do some parts on it’, which we did,” Jimmy said.
“Me and Brian both had a wonderful 20-odd years in Chucklevision with them, thanks to them.
“We used to travel in a camper van all over when we did the Chucklevision stage tour, which we did for years and years. We travelled in the camper van and we all played cards together.
“That was great fun. Full of laughs, it was, all the way.”
Following the news of Barry’s passing, Paul released a brief statement saying: “I’ve not just lost my brother, I’ve lost my theatrical partner of many, many years and my very best friend.”
The duo had recently been filming a new series called Chuckle Time with the Chuckle Brothers for Channel 5.
On Sunday, a special episode aired paying tribute to Barry.
