Matteo Bocelli performs his new single ‘Solo’
Andrea Bocelli’s 25-year-old son has been following in his father’s footsteps since 2018, when the pair duetted together with Fall On Me.
Since then, Matteo Bocelli has released solo singles like Close and his latest For You ahead of his debut album on September 22.
His maestro father is clearly incredibly proud having shared a sweet message to him on social media.
The 64-year-old said: “Even if all the days of a man’s life are the same in terms of length and value, some are unforgettable the day he experiences the thrill of his first kiss, for example, the satisfaction of a big promotion, the birth of a child, the loss of a loved one… The list goes on.
“Today is one of those days for you. After a lot of hard work, strife, worry, doubt and hope, the fruit of much labour is finally seeing the light. Your dad remembers that feeling: he knows it well.”

Andrea continued: “I hope that you can live this day with serenity, optimism and, above all, confidence. Confidence in yourself, in the tools Heaven has given you, and in all those who have worked with you and shared every milestone, struggle and everything that makes a career.
“Gather all your strength so you can truly value your gifts and ensure they are always at the highest possible level. Never forget them: they are the foundation of everything.”

Andrea added: “With all my heart, I hope that you can surpass me in art as you have done in height, but don’t let how your work is received affect you. Focus on doing everything to the best of your ability, and entrust yourself to the Lord who knows all and wants the best for all of us.
“Your dad, who has travelled all around the world and is still hopping between continents, will always be there for you, to advise you, support you, encourage you and pass on the lessons the infinite struggles of life have taught him. Now spread your wings and fly. Your dad.”
