Adele has left a superfan in tears by sending him a personal message.
The 32-year-old singing sensation made Colyn's day when she replied to a direct message he sent her on Instagram.
Colyn begged the Hello singer to release some new music as she was "missed so much".
Showing her appreciation, Adele responded: "Your Twitter account has entertained me all the way through Covid.
"You look like so much fun! I'm absolutely chuffed you like my music.
"Keep loving your life, it's so lovely and infectious to see from every angle."
The heartfelt message had an emotional impact on Colyn, who admitted he was in tears.
He shared Adele's words on Twitter, writing: "I'm bawling my eyes out.
"Adele I hope it was okay I tweeted this I was just so excited I wanted to tell my friends!"
Earlier this month, mother of one Adele admitted she has "no idea" when her fourth album will be released.
A fan asked Adele: "where's the next album" to which she replied: "I honestly have no idea."
Adele's manager previously confirmed her fourth studio album had been delayed and wouldn't be out in September.
The as-yet-untitled album will be her first in five years, following up 2015’s 25 which featured hits including Hello and When We Were Young.
The star previously posted a picture of a book she's just finished – Untamed by Glennon Doyle – and said the read had made her "so ready for myself".
Posting a picture of the book cover on Instagram, Adele penned: "If you’re ready – this book will shake your brain and make your soul scream.
"I am so ready for myself after reading this book! It’s as if I just flew into my body for the very first time. Whew!"
"Anyone who has any kind of capacity to truly let go and give into yourself with any kind of desire to hold on for dear life – Do it. Read it. Live it. Practice it. We are a lot! But we are meant to be a lot! .. 'A good life is a hard life!'
"Read this book and have a highlighter on hand to make notes because you’ll want to refer back to it trust me! I never knew that I am solely responsible for my own joy, happiness and freedom!!
"Who knew our own liberation liberates those around us? Cause I didn’t!! I thought we were meant to be stressed and disheveled, confused and selfless like a Disney character! ProBloodyFound!! You’re an absolute don Glennon."
The release date of Adele's album has been thrown into doubt by the coronavirus pandemic, which has caused several artists to delay their own albums and tours.
Adele's manager Jonathan Dickins, who is the founder of September Management, told Music Week that she won't be releasing new music this autumn and wouldn't confirm when fans should expect it either.
He told the publication: "It isn’t coming in September, it’ll be ready when it’s ready.
"We're all in the same boat, you’re doing stuff and then all of a sudden, the world stops.
"It’ll come when it’s ready. I can’t put a date on that yet.
'We have music, but we’re still working."
