Brits can tuck into a free Christmas dinner at IKEA this festive season.
That's right, the store is offering customers the chance to book out IKEA roomsets and enjoy a two-course meal with their loved ones. If you fancy it – you won't even have to spend a penny.
Two hour roomset bookings are available in London’s Greenwich and Scotland’s Edinburgh stores on Thursday, December 7 and Friday, December 8. Diners can choose from either turkey, butternut squash, lentil and almond wellington or classic IKEA meatballs – each served with all the traditional Christmas trimmings.

IKEA has made the move in a bid to offer its customers a hassle-free and cost-effective Christmas. With the ability to host up to five others, those who book a roomset will enjoy a free, fully prepared and utterly delicious IKEA Christmas dinner.
The package comes complete with festive décor, a choice of classic turkey, a veggie alternative or classic IKEA meatballs, each served with all the traditional trimmings – and most importantly no washing up.
Hosting Christmas can be costly, not to mention the time and effort spent doing everything from cooking to cleaning to making beds for those staying over.
New research found that on average, UK hosts spent 36 hours away from friends and family during the festive period last year. As a result, a quarter (24%) have opted out of hosting this year.
For many others, hosting is not even a possibility, with more than a quarter (27%) saying they don’t have the space to entertain their loved ones. This is why the chain wanted to do its bit to help.
The Greenwich and Edinburgh stores will give guests the host-free Christmas they deserve. On the two special dates you're able to book in for up to two hours of festive fun. It's said the new package from IKEA will include a two-course IKEA Christmas dinner, IKEA dessert and unlimited soft drinks.
On the menu, customers can pick from either classic turkey with sage and onion stuffing, a plant-based offering featuring a flavoursome festive butternut squash, lentil and almond wellington or go full IKEA and order meatballs. All dishes are served with crispy roast potatoes, parsnips, peas, red cabbage and gravy.
Then guests can chose from the chocolate clementine bomb, vegan caramelised cheesecake or strawberry flavour jelly for a sweet treat.
