Duchess Meghan got to see firsthand how proceeds from a charity cookbook, for which she wrote the foreword, have been put to work.
The royal mom-to-be visited the Hubb Community Kitchen Wednesday, where women gathered to make meals after being dislodged by the Grenfell Tower fire of June 2017.
Meghan, a self-professed foodie, made her first visit to the kitchen the following January after moving to the U.K. She helped launch “Together: Our Community Cookbook,” which shares more than 50 recipes from the kitchen, at a Kensington Palace launch party in September.
Thanks to the money raised through sales of the book, the Hubb kitchen has been “completely renovated” Kensington Palace shared over Twitter Wednesday.
“The women are now able to use the kitchen seven days a week, and have been empowered to gain qualifications and start their own new projects helping others in their community to benefit from the kitchen,” the palace added.
