What your eye colour says about your personality – and who’s the sexiest

Ever wondered what others think of your eye colour?

Apparently, eye colour can say a lot about an individual's personality – and even their sex life.

Several studies in the past have found that people with blue eyes are more sexually attractive.

So what's the case now?

The team at 1-800 Contacts just completed a survey of 1,000 people to find out how they felt about each eye colour.

Findings suggest those with brown eyes are "kind, reliable and trustworthy" and green-eyed people were more charitable.

In the exclusive study revealed to Daily Star Online, it also found that hazel-eyed respondents were admired for their passion to their jobs.

Those with grey eyes were to be deemed the most attractive.

Meanwhile, blue eyed Brits were seen to enjoy trying new things in life.

Brad Daiber, as part of the content team for 1-800 Contacts, told Daily Star Online: "It's fascinating how people with different eye colours have a tendency to thrive in completely different aspects of their lives.

"People with hazel-eyes tend to be top performers in the workplace.

"Blue eyes were highly coveted by those without them, as they were generally regarded as the 'sexiest' eye colour.

"Further, those with blue eyes overwhelmingly identified as outgoing, extroverted people.

"On the other hand, people with green eyes were the most altruistic and forward-thinking.

"Brown is the most common and most trusted eye colour. We observed some strong correlations between eye colour and attraction, but what was also fascinating are the personality traits aligned with each eye colour.

"For people looking to find a long-term partner, someone with brown eyes might not be the most desired eye colour in a partner but a large percentage attributed this eye colour to being reliable.

"That might be an important trait when looking for a lasting relationship.”

The most attractive eye colour:

  1. Grey – 7.4 score
  2. Blue – 7.3 score
  3. Green – 7.3 score
  4. Hazel – 7.2 score
  5. Brown – 7.1 score
