Theater district eateries offering pay-when-you-can meals to stage actors

Two Theater District eateries — Bouillon Marseille and Nizza — are offering stage actors free meals till they can pay their tabs and are back on their feet.

Anyone with an Actors’ Equity card can reportedly eat at the restaurants for free (drinks and gratuity not included). The hot spots will keep house accounts for the thespians, who can pay off the debts “as slowly or quickly as possible” when theater comes back to the city, reports blog Front Row Center.

Broadway theaters are remaining dark until 2021 due to the pandemic. An opening date has been pushed several times, but shows are planning their returns.
