All of the five most popular overseas homes for sale on the property website – except one – have a price tag that runs into tens of millions of pounds.
They include a villa on Spain’s Costa del Sol, which helped the boy band One Direction on their way to stardom as it was the location for Simon Cowell’s judge’s house on the 2010 series of The X Factor.

Also included in the list is a bulletproof New York townhouse with a private roof deck that enjoys 360 degree views across the city’s skyline.
The six-bedroom property has an asking price of $50million, the equivalent of £37.9million.
The most viewed overseas property of this year is also the cheapest, at a ‘mere’ $4million, the equivalent of £3.09million.
This is despite it being a private island in Canada’s Nova Scotia, which includes an 11-bedroom house and 60 acres of land.

It is priced at $39,995,000, the equivalent of £30.3million, and is being sold via American Farm & Ranch.

There are several homes spread across the island, with nine bedrooms available in total and 38 acres of land.
The property is in a district of the Bahamas called Exuma, which is made up of more than 365 islands. The name may be familiar to those who have seen a documentary about the doomed Fyre Festival event in 2017 – although, that was held on Great Exuma.
