Pretty much everyone in Netflix’s The Perfect Date trailer can say they went out with a Calvin Klein model.
Noah Centineo takes his teen dream status to the next level with another Netflix original rom-com. Brooks Rattigan (Centineo) becomes “the perfect date” when he hatches a plan to help pay for college. He realizes people will pay him money to go out with them for any type of occasion, so he turns this into a thriving app business called The Stand-In, through which users can request which type of guy they want him to become for the ultimate date experience.
But, of course, he starts falling for Celia Lieberman (Lady Bird‘s Laura Marano), the first girl he agrees to take out, and realizes maybe he’s having an identity crisis. He always wanted to have the cool cars and hot girlfriend, but when he actually starts dating the girl of his dreams (Riverdale‘s Camila Mendes), he discovers maybe this whole image isn’t what he wants out of life.
The trailer also comes with a release date of April 12 on Netflix. Hopefully this will hold us over for whenever the To All the Boys I Loved Before sequel will arrive.
Directed by Chris Nelson (My Dead Ex), the film also stars Trinket‘s Odiseas Georgiadis and Veep‘s Matt Walsh.
