Reality Steve Says There's More To 'Bachelor' Victoria P.'s Exit Than You Saw On TV

Victoria Paul came into The Bachelor already a winner as Miss Louisiana 2019, and she left on her own terms. And while she’s one of many beauty queens who competed for Peter Weber’s heart this season, she has a fascinating backstory that definitely set her apart from the first episode.

Since then, Victoria’s had lots of screen time with Pilot Pete and shared her life story, but there’s much more to know about this southern bell. Here’s everything you need to know about Victoria P., including the real reason she left The Bachelor so suddenly:

Victoria works as a nurse in Alexandria, Louisiana.

She’s a full time practical nurse in urgent care and she also works part time in dermatology. On the personal front, Victoria also calls herself an optimist and a book worm in her Insta bio.

She competed in Miss USA.

After winning Miss Louisiana 2019, she went on to compete in Miss USA In Reno, Nevada. She made it all the way into the top 15 (congrats, V!).

But Victoria is much more than a pageant winner.

Victoria enjoys travel, songwriting, and hanging out with her rescue dog, Doodle, according to her bio on Pageant Update. “Her goal as Miss Louisiana USA 2019 is to use her voice to inspire children to follow their dreams no matter from where they may come, including those facing issues such as poverty or addictive parents.”

“Victoria is passionate about fitness and health, but also about empowering and motivating others, especially children,” the bio reads. “The 26-year-old draws from her own challenges that she faced in her childhood. At one time, Victoria and her family lived in a homeless shelter.”

Victoria opened up about her tough past to Peter.

She and Peter had a memorable one-on-one date line dancing at The Canyon Club in California. After a fun-filled day, their conversation turned serious. Victoria revealed her difficult childhood to Peter. She opened up about her mother’s struggle with addiction, difficulties finding enough food, and living in homeless shelters. Her honesty garnered a deep trust from Peter.

Chris Harrison thinks she’s “strong, amazing, and independent.”

During his preview of all the Bachelor contestants, Chris Harrison introduced Victoria with: “She has been through a lot.” He added that she lost her father at a young age, her mother struggled with addiction, and she was forced to raise her sister. He also described her as “strong, amazing, independent” in the Youtube video. She’s quick with her emotions and quick with the “L” word, per Chris.

So… why did Victoria P. leave and where is now?

Victoria leaves The Bachelor voluntarily. (She’s not the only one who goes home this week.) After traveling with Peter and the rest of the ladies to Chile, she then opted to head home. Reality Steve spilled the tea on this one: “Victoria Paul eliminates herself during this episode as she tells Peter that she has fears about a possible future together.”

He added, “The day after Victoria Paul left Chile, she was back in Louisiana [crowning] her successor at Miss Louisiana USA. I’m guessing she had a timeline in her head of that date, if she hadn’t reached a certain level with Peter, she would leave… The timing is too coincidental though, so it definitely played a role.”
