Premier League fantasy football: One-man teams
Here’s five players who are comfortably their club’s top points scorer on Dream Team.
1 Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) – 127 points
Rashford is having a brilliant season and already has more goals under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer than he managed in Jose Mourinho’s entire tenure.
He has 13 goals and four assists in all competitions and is the sixth highest scoring player on Dream Team this season with 127 points.
And it’s fair to say he’s left the rest of his United team-mates eating dust.
Rashford has more than double the nearest Red Devils player, who is Anthony Martial on 55 points.
2 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) – 97 points
Arsenal’s season is all over the place but at least Aubameyang has been a fairly reliable source of points.
While the Gunners hitman is only the ninth best forward on Dream Team this season, he has still been carrying his beleaguered team-mates at times.
Aubameyang has scored 13 goals in all competitions and is 26 points ahead of Nicolas Pepe in the Arsenal stakes.
3 Danny Ings (Southampton) – 93 points
Possibly the most unlucky player in the division?
Ings has scored as many goals as Harry Kane this season yet Southampton still sit in the relegation zone.
He has scored half of their league goals and has already bagged in five defeats.
His 93 points is 43 clear of James Ward-Prowse in second.
4 Teemu Pukki (Norwich) – 72 points
The Pukki party has come in waves this season, with his phenomenal start overshadowed by a barren spell.
But the Canaries striker is back amongst the goals again, scoring in successive games to take his tally to eight for the season.
Todd Cantwell is doing his best to keep up with him, but has only managed just over half of Pukki’s total on 38 points.
5 Neal Maupay (Brighton) – 55 points
Another player who has made the transition from the Championship to the Premier League look easy.
Maupay has been the perfect alternative to Glenn Murray and his five goals is more than any other Brighton player.
His 55 points is nothing massive to shout about, but he’s a good 20 points clear of the next closest Seagulls star in Dan Burn.
