When you go to the cinema, your focus is mainly on grabbing your snacks and settling into your seat to watch a good movie.
Not many of us pay attention to what goes on behind the scenes — we just assume someone is sitting in a little room at the back, starting the projector.
But people have been stunned after finding out what the inside of the projector room in the cinema really looks like.

Chase Lee, who posts online under the username @chaselee, shared a video exposing the reality.
In the clip, which has gained more than 153,000 likes, he filmed himself as he wrote: "Just found out there's only one large projector room in movie theatres and each theatre doesn't have its own small projector room…"
He then showed an image of a large corridor full of projectors pointing into the screen rooms — disproving the idea that each screen has its own room.
"This is so upsetting," he said in the caption.
And it would seem his TikTok followers were equally as shocked as they took to the comments to give their opinions on the room, which has now gained more than 1.7million views.
One user said: "I have to go sit down."
Another commented: "Oh because it’s over the entire hallway for some reason this never occurred to me."
A third added: "I used to think a little person was up there living in the rooms."

"No one ever told me otherwise but I feel lied to," a fourth wrote.
However, some cinema workers took to the comments to let people know they had fun nicknames for the room while working in there.
A user explained: "Yep! The place I used to work called it the bat cave."
A second confessed: "My dad was a manager of a theatre growing up and he would just let me hang out in there and eat popcorn."
