A woman has given birth to an enormous 12lb 9oz baby who was two feet long when born.

Amy Smit’s words when she was presented with her massive baby boy were “bl**dy hell” – and we can imagine why.

Her son, Zagrys, was already predicted to be a big baby due to the height of his mum and dad, but nobody expected him to be just two centimetres shorter than the average six-month-old.

Amy, 27, from Cheddington, Buckinghamshire, delivered her son via C-Section on March 25.

But, neither she nor her husband, Zac, 28, expected their child to be a Goliath.

She explained: “We knew he was going to be a tall baby, because all the scans showed he was quite long, and both Zac and I are around the six-foot mark.

"But we had no idea he would be that big."

Baby Zagrys even shocked doctors – and it took two of them to pull him out.

Amy continued: "There were all these really small ladies around me, and I heard one of them saying, 'I need some help, he's enormous'.

"He didn't even fit on the scales when they went to weigh him, he was too long and wide. They had to make a makeshift plank thing to balance him on them!"

Before giving birth, Amy and Zac bought clothing large enough for a three-month-old due to their size expectations.

But, their son doesn’t fit in any of it!

The mum added: "I had to send Zac out to buy six-nine month clothes for him!"

Zagrys older sister, Lola, was born in 2018 and weighed 9lb 2oz.

And, Amy claims her pregnancy symptoms were wildly different between her large daughter and enormous son.

She added: "I just went off food. I never fancied any meals, I couldn't eat meat or anything.

"During my first pregnancy with Lola, I was snacking all day long, I couldn't stop eating.

"But with Zeik I just had no appetite. And I just keep thinking, imagine how much bigger he could have been if I had eaten lots!"

Two months later, Zagrys – who goes by Zeik as a nickname – weighs 14lb 12oz.

And, his sister is “besotted”.

Amy added: "Lola always wants to give him cuddles and be with him. She calls him 'my baby'."

"Zac has already said he's going to be a rugby player.

"He's South African so he's really into his rugby, and with Zeik's size, he's already calling him our little rugby player."

However, Zagrys missed out on the top spot of Britain’s biggest baby by several pounds.

George Joseph King, born in February 2013, weighed 15lb 7oz.
