Morrisons is doing GINGERBREAD filled doughnuts – and they sound tasty

The treats are filled with gingerbread and only cost 50p for a pack of five, and they're even made from scratch in store.

The gingerbread doughnuts are part of the supermarket's Christmas range, which means they'll be available in Morrisons stores until the end of December.

They are actually also even cheaper than traditional doughnuts at other supermarkets.

A pack of five jam doughnuts cost 65p at Tesco, while they're a bit more expensive at 75p at Asda.

The festive treats at Morrisons were spotted by Instagram account NewfoodsUK, and some followers were over the moon about the news.

One follower commented: "Wow! This is a game changer."

And another one said: "Mmmm think this would take some trying… Sounds weird but bet it's yum!!"

Morrisons has not yet clarified how many calories each doughnut contains, but we don't expect them to the healthiest versions around.

But then again, what is Christmas even for if you don't allow yourself to treat yourself?

In other gingerbread news, Poundland has revealed its gingerbread toffee popcorn.

Yesterday Morrisons also launched a giant all-day full English breakfast butty – and it only costs £5.

But the supermarket was also blasted by shoppers for a "ridiculous" Christmas saving bonus shake-up.
