Meghan McCain took serious issue with comments Bill O’Reilly made on Friday that suggested that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death was imminent.
Ousted Fox News personality O’Reilly took to Twitter following the news that Ginsburg had two cancerous growths removed from her lung Friday and will remain hospitalized for several days following the surgery.
“Justice Ginsburg is very ill,” he tweeted. “Another Justice appointment inevitable and soon. Bad news for the left.”
Conservatives have a 5-4 majority on the court, with Ginsburg leading the court’s liberal group, and future vacancies during President Donald Trump’s watch could increase that margin.
