One of London’s most famous attractions and an iconic landmark in the city’s skyline, the London Eye has launched an experience to celebrate the King’s Coronation.

The London Eye has been ranked as one of Tripadvisor’s top UK attractions based on reviews and ratings, and is often on the itinerary for many of the capital’s visitors.

With King Charles’ Coronation taking place in under two weeks time, The London Eye is helping people get involved with the celebrations.

The attraction has launched a Coronation-themed capsule, for a royal experience with plenty of photo opportunities, and tickets are now available to book on Lastminute.com.

Book: London Eye Coronation experience (£60)

For the experience, a capsule in the London Eye has been transformed to replicate the grandeur of Westminster Abbey, which is where the Coronation will take place.

Visitors will be able to book the experience for dates between the 29th of April and the 8th of May, with multiple time slots to choose from, and the capsule can even be booked on the day of the Coronation itself.

The dramatic design includes the illusion of vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows and stone columns, plus wooden benches and marble-look floor to replicate the High Altar area ahead of the official crowning.

As part of the sky-high trip, visitors will be invited to sit in the replica of the Coronation chair and hold replicas of the Crown Jewels including the crown, orb and sceptre.

Tickets for the Coronation capsule cost £60, which is more expensive than the standard London Eye tickets, however the experience also includes fast-track entry which usually costs £53 alone.

Plus, the tickets include a glass of champagne or soft drink, and of course the themed capsule, which is one-off experience.

The ride will take roughly half an hour, and will take in breathtaking views of London, including a look at Westminster Abbey itself, and those who buy tickets for the event on the day of the Coronation may even be able to spot some of the processions from the sky. For anyone looking to spend a bit longer in the capital and take in a few of the sights, there are some Luxury London hotels you can still book for in time for King Charles III’s Coronation.

As there is only one capsule of the London Eye taking part in the special experience and for a short time period, tickets are limited, and some of the slots only have a few tickets left, so it’s worth being quick.
