Lindsay Lohan paid tribute to her on-screen mom Natasha Richardson, who starred alongside her in the 1998 remake of “The Parent Trap,” on what would have been her 58th birthday on Tuesday.
Richardson died at the age of 45 in 2009 from injuries sustained during a ski accident.
Taking to Instagram, Lohan shared a still from the beloved film where Richardson — who played her mother, Liz — is wrapping a protective arm around her shoulders as the young actress stares up at her in adoration.

The scene Lohan chose to highlight was when her character, Hallie, is openly relishing being able to spend time with her mother in London — as she spent her whole life being raised by her father in Napa, California.
“Happy Birthday Angel,” the actress captioned the tender photo. Lohan’s real mom, Dina Lohan, also honored the late actress by chiming in the comment section, “God bless her.”
This isn’t the first time the “Mean Girls” star honored Richardson. During last year’s virtual reunion, Lohan said of the British actress, “Natasha had such an elegance and grace, and she was so maternal to me.”
Richardson is survived by husband Liam Neeson and sons Michéal and Daniel, who are 25 and 24, respectively.
