Kelly Osbourne shocks ‘Masked Singer’ judges by hiding her accent

Warning: Spoilers for Wednesday’s episode of “The Masked Singer” follow.

Kelly Osbourne shocked the judges of “The Masked Singer.”

In Wednesday night’s episode of Fox’s outrageous singing competition show — in which celebs don elaborate disguises to hide their identities as they serenade the audience — the elaborate “ladybug” costume was revealed to be Kelly Osbourne, 35.

Since she’d been hiding her signature English accent, the panel of judges — Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong and Jenny McCarthy — was stunned.

Right before the big reveal, when they were guessing at which celeb might be under the ladybug mask, they were all wrong.

After singing “Youngblood” by 5 Seconds of Summer hidden beneath the disguise, Osbourne gave the following hint about her identity: “For years, I convinced myself that I just wasn’t good enough, whether in my career, my relationships, or with my family.”

Since she’d donned an American southern accent, Scherzinger guessed she was Jamie Lynn Spears, while Jeong and Thicke both guessed she was Lindsay Lohan. McCarthy guessed Paris Jackson.

They were all shocked when it was none other than the colorfully-coiffed singer and TV personality.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly after the episode aired, Osbourne says this is the first big TV project she’s done in her first year of sobriety. Amusingly, she revealed that she hid her stint on the show from her rocker dad, Ozzy — for fear of him spilling the beans.

“We didn’t tell my dad at first, because my dad is too proud of a father who would go around being like, ‘Did you see my daughter? Have you seen my daughter?’ We couldn’t tell him because he is a gossip like that,” she said. “He wants to brag. So we were like, we cannot tell dad. Mom knew. And my brother, that was it.”
