The turmoil surrounding Brexit has left many feeling utterly baffled about the state of British politics – and it appears Chrissy Teigen is no exception.
The American star, 33, prompted a hilarious discussion on the goings-on of Parliament when she revealed her ‘brain cannot grasp’ how the system works.
Hoping for clarity, the model and celebrity author turned to her 10.7million Twitter followers – only to be told that many of them are equally as confused.
Others tried to shed light on the situation by sharing their cutting analogies for the current state of affairs, with ‘flaming rubbish bin’ mentioned more than once.

Writing on Twitter, she revealed one of her New Year resolutions is to have a better grasp on how things work across the pond.
‘Okay one of my goals for 2019 is to understand UK politics,’ she posted. ‘I read and read and try and learn but my brain cannot grasp it.’
Followers were quick to urge Chrissy against delving into the subject at such a tumultuous time.

Others including TV presenter Sue Perkins admitted many Britons were in the dark about what was happening.

The post made reference to the relic which represents the Queen’s authority within Parliament. Parliament cannot lawfully meet without the Mace, representing the monarch’s authority, being present in the chambers.
It made headlines this week when Lloyd Russell-Moyle picked up the mace and attempted to carry it out of the chamber at a furious protest over the Brexit vote being deferred. He was stopped by two female Serjeant at Arms staff.
The rules gripped Chrissy, who tweeted: ‘The what’s the point of being able to take the giant gold thing if the lady with the sword can just stop you and make you put it back?’
After followers attempted to explain, the celebrity added: ‘This is harder to understand than super smash bros!!! LOL LOL THATS CALLED A CALLBACK IN SHOWBIZ GUYS lol lol lol.’
