A cafe owner defended herself online after reviews claimed she was spotted shopping in Aldi for food for her business.
The owner of Harbour Cafe Bar in Southport received two similar Google reviews which prompted her to respond.
And her response to critics have been branded "amazing" and "perfect" by fans of the cafe, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The two reviews, left on the platform, claimed the owner was buying steak and ham for the cafe, despite the menu not serving either of these items.
One review, posted by a 'Stuart' said: "Unfortunately I won't be eating at the Harbour café due to this morning a member of staff wearing harbour uniform shopping in Aldi.
"Now you can argue that either it's to tide them over until their delivery has turned up or food shopping themselves but with eight steak, five butter, eight packs of ham so defo for the café then goes outside to jump in a Mercedes.
"Sorry to disappoint you all but the produce isn't what I would call fresh but if you call it fresh as in picked up from Aldi this morning then you're spot on.
"But it may not be that fresh as we don't know how long it's been in Aldi's warehouse for so a steak in Aldi is £4 and they charge £21n quids in all round 100% profit 5x over the amount paid, rip off."
Responding, the owner replied to the review and said the bar does not serve "steak or ham on the menu" and that she was doing a personal shop.
She wrote: "Hi Stuart, I was actually doing my home shop. The steak is for my husband and children and ham for the dogs. If you actually visited the bar you would see from our menu there is no steak or ham on the menu.

"We get our meat from Broughs Butchers in the village, obviously you haven't seen them deliver 2-3 times a week either!!!
"You will be pleased to know the butter is for the bar as we don't use margarine and my husband had the Bentley so I had to use the Mercedes. Thanks for the review Stuart."
The owner also similarly responded to another review, from a Robert, which read: "All food bought from Aldi seen them buying loads of steak, butter and ham can only be for the café."
The business owner also took to Facebook to share the reviews and their response.
The Harbour Cafe Bar account posted: "REALLY it makes you wonder if these people have nothing better to do!!
"Same review twice so had to respond."
A number of customers celebrated the "amazing" response and praised the business.
One person wrote: "We use the Harbour on a regular basis and love it. Great service, nice people and considered very much a part of the community. Great reply by the way now ignore."
While another posted: "Love the reply great response I see many people shopping in uniforms don't for one second think it is for that shop they work in they do have the right to shop for their personal needs."
A third chimed in: "Love your response Harbour Café bar. We’ve been there many times and it’s always been great. We also shop at Aldi and wouldn’t be at all bothered even if you did serve me an Aldi steak, they are pretty good. Ignore the haters, probably a competitor who can’t compete!"
While another said: "Those who regularly use the Harbour Café know the quality that is served there, both in produce and in service. When you aren’t using the Bentley for a grocery run can I borrow it?"
