Ariana Grande posted a video of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller on Friday as another touching remembrance to the 26-year-old rapper who died of a suspected overdose a week ago.
Although the pair broke up in May and Grande has since gotten engaged to “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson, her post alludes to happy times they had in their two years as a couple. Grande had previously spoken about their “toxic” relationship and Miller’s substance abuse problems.
In the video, Grande appears to catch Miller off guard by filming, and when he laughs and pushes the camera away she tells him, “It makes me happy.”
“i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will,” Grande wrote. “i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest.”
