College Basketball Coach Adia Barnes Pumped Her Way Through the NCAA Championship Game
For those of you who aren’t WNBA fans, here’s one way to sum up who Parker is: a two-time Olympic gold medalist, broadcast sports analyst, WNBA Champion, MVP, and All-Star who just left the Los Angeles Sparks after 13 years to join the Chicago Sky. Or version two: She’s a working mom — of 11-year-old daughter Lailaa — who just took an opportunity to work closer to her family and hometown.
We’re thrilled that in answering our Momsessed questions, we got an extra peek at that second version of Parker, just in time for us to watch the first version kill it on the court when the WNBA season starts in May.

The podcast I have on repeat
My friend, Cari Champion just launched her podcast, Naked With Cari Champion. I am excited to start tuning into her podcast! I also love Brené Brown’s Unlocking Us which talks with a number of amazing individuals on ways we all can be better humans through love and courage.
The book my daughter is obsessed with
Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.
What I’m currently reading myself
I am currently reading Caste by Isabel Wilkerson because a number of my friends have recommended it, and so far it has lived up to all of those expectations.
The snacks I always have on hand for my daughter
My daughter and I are loving Sabra Kids! Sabra just launched a new line targeted for kids — the flavors are great, super convenient and a great plant-based option. As a busy mom, it is so nice to have a healthy option for my daughter that aligns with our active lifestyle that we can grab and go, but also love.
The beauty product I never leave the house without
I like to keep the essentials on hand — like a good Chapstick and hand cream. I also, love Rodial Glow Drops as a quick go-to to keep my face looking fresh and ready to go!
The apps that make my life as a parent easier
I appreciate any app that keeps my schedule organized. Cozi is an app that streamlines everyone’s schedules — which is beyond helpful for us busy moms.
The parenting account I love to follow
I follow @momtruthpodcast on Instagram. It’s full of relatable mom content which I love.

The non-screen thing that keeps my daughter occupied for hours
We try to get outdoors as much as possible nowadays. We like to take our dogs for walks outside and go on hikes.
The TV shows I actually enjoy watching with my daughter?
We LOVE Modern Family and enjoy watching reruns on a daily basis. Lailaa enjoys watching shows that I used to watch when I was her age as well, like Sister, Sister and Full House.
The kid-friendly music I don’t hate playing in the house
We really like listening to Adele (we are awaiting another album drop!) and we really like listening to Beyoncé’s Black Is King.

My favorite subscription for my daughter
She is obsessed with slime! She gets a box once a month from SlooMoo Institute. They send pre-made slime and also slime that she and I can make together.
The skincare and bath products my daughter loves to use
Lailaa has eczema and we have tried so many different products but thus far Vanicream has worked the best to keep her skin moisturized with no fragrance. I personally love Mixed Chicks hair products for Lailaa’s hair (and mine).
The clothing brands my daughter loves
Lailaa is into shopping for her own clothes now. She really enjoys brands like Urban Outfitters and Hollister.
How I keep my wardrobe on point
I love to wear Adidas. The Ivy Park line from Beyoncé is great — a lot of fun colors and the designs are more stylish and playful.
