Tori and Zach Roloff have problems just like every couple. But Zach’s dwarfism isn’t one of them. The Little People, Big World star opened up about her 4-foot-3 husband’s stature in a Q&A on her Instagram Story.
When a fan asked Tori why she never bends down in photos, the 27-year-old replied: “For me it feels weird to crouch and Zach always told me to stand. I’m not trying to be shorter and he’s not trying to be taller.” The TLC personality also stressed that Zach’s genetic condition is in no way a “limitation” and the only impact it has had on their relationship is that she is asked to “reach the high shelf a lot.”
Tori, who tied the knot with Zach, 28, in July 2015, revealed she has never been teased for being married to a man with dwarfism. “But I also own it in every way,” she explained. “I love my husband for his heart, not his height. Love is love is love.”

The former kindergarten teacher also opened up about 17-month-old son Jackson, who was born with achondroplasia, the same type dwarfism that Zach has.
When a pregnant Tori learned of Jackson’s diagnosis at her 34-week ultrasound she admitted, “there was obviously some fear.” But that feeling quickly passed. “I have the best resources at the palm of my hands and I was fortunate enough to have some background knowledge,” she wrote. “I can only imagine the fear of a parent who has no experience with dwarfism but I can only hope we can provide some sort of reassurance to them.”
As for Jackson? He’s healthy and thriving at the moment. Though Tori and Zach are careful to monitor what and how much the toddler is eating. “It’s important to maintain a health weight for anyone but especially a dwarf because the extra weight can contribute to joint paint,” she noted. “I can’t keep the belly from growing though. It has a mind of it’s own and I fracking love it.”
Tori knows it’s only natural for other children to be curious about Jackson’s appearance. “I will never shy away from questions,” she declared. “Parents should never reprimand or yell at their child for asking questions. Educate don’t hate.”
