Teddi Mellencamp Talks Drinking on ‘RHOBH’: It ‘Is a Lot’

She’s an accountability coach and fitness influencer, and now Teddi Mellencamp Opens a New Window. has to rely on her own advice when it comes to her diet!

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Opens a New Window. star — who joined the cast in Season 8 of the Bravo show, which is now in its ninth season Opens a New Window.  — generally keeps healthy, but the free-flowing wine during filming has made her rethink her nutrition strategy. “I mean on the Housewives, the amount of drinking is a lot more than… Like, when I’m home, it’s like, ‘No,’” she tells Us Weekly. “But there, it’s needed.”

That means the 37-year-old often ends up forgoing other indulgences like sweets. “For me it’s about balance. So like if I’m gonna go out to dinner, let’s say I have steak and asparagus or whatever. I then would choose, ‘Am I going to have dessert or am I going to drink?’” she says. “So it’s making that choice… Before, when I would diet I would have things like anger about it like, ‘I deserve to have these things!’ Now this is a choice.”

In her business, All in by Teddi, she helps clients stay accountable in their diet, fitness and lifestyle choices. “I love it. I love not only having my clients, but, like, all my clients that have become coaches and are now helping other people change their lives,” she gushes. “It’s really incredible. And truthfully, it’s gonna sound selfish but it really holds me accountable to my health and fitness goals.”

Among those goals: consistency. Mellencamp, who recently launched a collection of inspirational workout wear Opens a New Window. , aims for daily exercise. “I’m active every day,” she says. Still, her regimen allows time for recovery. “Some days I just go on a walk,” she explains. “Or some days I do a yoga class. But I take an hour a day. I call it, it’s like my therapy.”
