When the Full Plate author, 31, asked his eldest daughter, 8, how she’d feel if she knew that “Joe Biden was going to have a woman as his Vice President, [Kamala Harris],” Riley said she’d be “surprised” and “happy.”
She added, “There’s, like, not a lot of women being president and helping alongside the president.”

Riley went on to say that she wanted a president who would care for the “environment” and the “people,” adding that her faith played a “really big” part in her life. “I’m grateful for all the things that I have and that I love my family.”
As for Ryan, the 5-year-old hilariously asked her mom what it means to “jump right in” to a conversation, then interrupted Ayesha to say, “Mommy, I can’t be quiet.” The little one also put the interview on pause to request a bathroom break.
Ayesha and the professional basketball player, 32, also share their 2-year-old son, Canon. Last month, the couple opened up about their decision to bring Riley to a protest supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.
“We felt like the best way to explain everything to her was for her to see it and understand it and hear it firsthand,” the Ayesha’s Homemade host told Self in July. “She internalized it, and then was able to ask us the questions she wanted to ask without being earful of asking them.”

Ayesha added at the time: “I feel like that’s been how we see change happening — because the children are our future, and I feel like if we’re verbally and physically instilling in them the change we wish to see, that’s the best way to get it going. … So not really sugarcoating no matter how young the kids are — not sugarcoating what’s going on, really tackling it head-on, face-first — has been what’s worked for us.”
