Amid her divorce from estranged husband Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner has been enjoying some quality girl time. The Game of Thrones alum was spotted grabbing dinner with Taylor Swift (another one of Jonas’s exes!) twice this week, and yesterday she was seen hanging out with another special female: her 3-year-old daughter Willa!
In photos obtained by TMZ, Turner wore a black crop top paired with blank pants and a black sweater tied around her waist during an errand in New York City on Thursday. In one hand, she was holding a brown paper bag with what looks like poster board hanging out the top, and in the other, she held hands with her toddler, who she shares with Jonas. Willa was dressed casually in a David Bowie t-shirt, gray shorts, and white sneakers. She held a stuffed animal in her hand as she walked with her mom and one of Turner’s friends. Turner was smiling, seemingly enjoying the one-on-one time with her eldest daughter.
The low-key hangout took place the same day Turner sued Jonas for the return of Willa and their daughter, D., 14 months, to England. In a statement from her legal team, Turner claimed the “Cake By The Ocean” singer had the “wrongful retention of two children” from “their habitual residence in England.”
A representative for Jonas responded to Turner’s claims on Thursday in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. “After multiple conversations with Sophie, Joe initiated divorce proceedings in Florida, as Florida is the appropriate jurisdiction for the case. Sophie was aware that Joe was going to file for divorce. The Florida Court has already entered an order that restricts both parents from relocating the children. Sophie was served with this order on September 6, 2023, more than two weeks ago,” the statement reads.
“Joe and Sophie had a cordial meeting this past Sunday in New York, when Sophie came to New York to be with the kids. They have been with her since that meeting,” the statement continued. “Joe’s impression of the meeting was that they had reached an understanding that they would work together towards an amicable co-parenting setup.”
Less than 24 hours later, according to the statement, “Sophie advised that she wanted to take the children permanently to the UK. Thereafter, she demanded via this filing that Joe hand over the children’s passports so that she could take them out of the country immediately. If he complies, Joe will be in violation of the Florida Court order.”

Previously, Jonas had asked a Florida court to help determine “a parenting plan” which would address “all parenting issues and contains a timesharing schedule providing for frequent and continuing contact with both parties.”
Recently, an attorney told Us Weekly that the courts will look at where the children’s “home state” is, and if it’s in the “best interest” of the children to moved them out of the home state.
Only time will tell what the ultimate custody agreement will look like, but for now, Turner is making the most of her time with her kids in the U.S.
