Congratulations! Katy Perry gave birth, welcoming her and her fiancé Orlando Bloom’s first child together.

Perry, 35, and Bloom, 43, shared the news with UNICEF on Wednesday, August 26. The engaged pair, both of whom are Goodwill Ambassadors for the organization, revealed that their daughter’s name is Daisy Dove Bloom.
“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” the statement began. “But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19, many more newborn lives are at risk because of a greater lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.”
The couple’s statement continued, “As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare. In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB’s arrival. By supporting UNICEF, you are supporting a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child. We hope your ❤️ can bloom with generosity.”

Bloom shared his excitement with an Instagram post later that same week. “My babies blooming,” the actor captioned a photo of his pregnant fiancée wearing a multicolored dress.
The Lord of the Rings star previously welcomed Flynn, now 9, with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr. Being around Bloom’s son has matured Perry, she told Ellen DeGeneres in September 2019.
“We have to be out the door at 7:30 to be there at 8:15 and we cannot be late,” the American Music Award winner explained at the time, seemingly referencing pickup from the former Victoria’s Secret Angel. “I used to not wake up until 11 a.m. and now I’m in bed like a normal person at 10 p.m., just, like, falling asleep.”

Let’s [do] whatever it takes.’ … It’s not always easy.”
As for the “Firework” singer, she has “gotten along [with Kerr] since day one.” The KORA Organics creator “really respects” Perry, she told Us Weekly exclusively in January, adding, “We appreciate each other.”
Perry and Bloom started dating in 2016. The Carnival Row star proposed in February 2019.
