Gushing about his girl! Jamie Bell spoke about his newborn daughter with Kate Mara for the first time.
“It’s kind of jumping back into the trenches a little bit,” the actor, 33, who has a 6-year-old son from a previous relationship, told Extra on Wednesday, May 29. “We’re very happy everyone is doing well. It’s great.”
He added: “So much stuff I have forgotten already, I’m kind of having to catch up again.”
The Rocketman star and his Fantastic Four costar, 36, announced the arrival of their first child together on Monday, May 27.
“We had a baby a couple weeks ago,” the House of Cards alum captioned an Instagram photo of her little one’s toes at the time. “Here are her feet.”
She and her husband celebrated with a baby shower earlier this month. “It was an intimate couple’s shower held at Kate and Jamie’s house,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly exclusively. “There were beautiful pink flower arrangements and a big arch of wildflowers and roses to welcome guests at the gate. It was a stunning entrance and everyone stopped to admire it and take pictures.”
The insider went on to say that guests “brought presents wrapped in pink.”
The actress “spent a lot of time playing with Jamie’s son in the yard,” the source told Us. Bell shares Jack with his ex-wife, Evan Rachel Wood. “[Kate] was great with him and clearly adores him. She was glowing and looked so happy. She wore a white tiered dress and had a pink ribbon in her hair. … It was a beautiful day and a lovely celebration for Kate and Jamie.”
News broke in January that she and the Turn: Washington Spies alum had a little one on the way when the pregnant star debuted her baby bump at the Golden Globes.
The couple tied the knot in Los Angeles in July 2017 after two years of dating.
