Rod Stewart’s kids are keeping him forever young. The rocker, 73, who is married to model Penny Lancaster, 47, enjoyed a beach day with his four sons Alastair, Aiden, Sean and Liam on Monday, October 29. Former model Lancaster captioned her snap: “Family time down in Malibu.”
The singer and model are parents of Alastair, 12, and Aiden 7. He shares Kimberly, 39, and Sean, 38, with ex-wife Alana Stewart, while Renee, 26, and Liam, 24, are from his marriage to Rachel Hunter. The Grammy award winner is also dad of Ruby, 31, with former love Kelly Emberg.
As a teen, Stewart placed his daughter, Sarah Streeter, 55, for adoption, but the two reconnected later in life. “We’ve tried to come together and be close and it’s working out pretty well,” the British singer revealed on a 2010 episode of Joy Behar: Say Anything. “I never felt like I was her dad, because I didn’t take her to school, change her nappies, there was no paternal thing there, but I’m trying.”
Stewart and Lancaster tied the knot in 2007, and he credits her for bringing all of his children together. “For some of the kids when she first came into my life, they obviously thought, ‘Oh, money grabber,’” he revealed during an appearance on U.K. talk show Lorraine in 2016. “But she’s won them over entirely now. She’s a great girl.”
The star gushed that he appreciates fatherhood more than ever “in old age,” but is done expanding his brood. “I’ve got a hockey player, I’ve got a musician, I’ve got a ballet dancer, a jazz dancer and they are all pursuing wonderful careers,” he said on Lorraine. “Extremely proud of them.”
