Nearly nine months after announcing the birth of their first child together, Richard Gere, 70, and wife Alejandra Silva, 36, are expecting another bundle of joy, reports say.
US Weekly and People report that Gere and Silva, who each has a child from a previous marriage, are slated to welcome back-to-back babies. USA TODAY has reached out to Gere’s representative for comment.
Nearly two decades after the arrival of his first child, the “Pretty Woman” star welcomed a baby boy with wife Silva, an activist, in February, his rep confirmed to USA TODAY at the time.
Baby Alexander was born in New York, joining Gere’s 19-year-old son Homer and Silva’s 6-year-old son Albert from previous marriages.
The couple tied the knot in April 2018. It’s Gere’s third marriage, following his nuptials to supermodel Cindy Crawford and actress Carey Lowell, who is Homer’s mother. This is Silva’s second marriage; she was previously wed to Govind Friedland.
